You and your small group will spend time working on projects involving the environment, learning about food justice issues, and serving the homeless population in Columbus. During the evenings you can look forward to meals with your new friends, games, small group conversations, laughter, and reflections on the day’s experiences!

 All participants will meet at OWU, move into their residence hall rooms, and then leave together the next day for the Service Camp home base north of Columbus. The service projects will take place in and around Columbus, and you’ll be staying in an comfortable campsite lodge near your service project.


Move-in: Thursday, August 16

Move into residence halls at OWU and take a little time to get your room set-up! Later that afternoon all new-to-OWU students and families celebrate the start of their OWU collegiate experience with Convocation followed by a welcome program for all.

Camp Oh-Wooo: Friday, August 17 - Sunday, August 19

Each camp will run August 17-19. On Monday Aug. 20 and Tuesday Aug. 21, all new students will participate in a number of academic and social opportunities on campus that will help prepare you for your first day of classes on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
