President External of the Campus Programming Board to host Snapchat Takeover

As a tour guide for Ohio Wesleyan’s Office of Admission, Evan Hudgens always tells high school seniors to put in their most honest effort and to “fill out the residential life form as accurately as possible.”

This week, Hudgens, who describes himself as “ambitious, creative, and loud,” will host the University’s Snapchat takeover.

A Genetics major and Classics minor, Hudgens says he appreciates OWU’s small campus because it has enabled him to make many close friends and establish strong relationships with his professors.

Dr. Laura Tuhela-Reuning, part-time professor of Botany-Microbiology and Zoology, has a great sense of humor, Hudgens says, adding that even though her exams are difficult, “she is absolutely hilarious!”

And Michael McOsker, part-time instructor in Classics, is the nicest most sincere man he’s ever met. “He's helped me with so many things,” Hudgens says of the faculty member, “classes and life in general!”

Hudgens is involved in multiple OWU clubs and organizations including Campus Programming Board (CPB), the Botany/Microbiology (BOMI) Club, and CLEAR (Choosing and Learning Environments with Alcohol Respect). He joined the Greek community this semester by rushing Chi Phi.

He is proud of the event-planning work he has accomplished with CPB. “Although it's a lot of work, there's an enormous pay out,” Hudgens says, promising “Bishop Bash this year is going to be the best!”

Hudgens’ “My Story” will include the CPB’s Iceless Ice Rink Event, campus tours, group meetings, and the BOMI banquet.
