Backing the Bishops
The OWU and Delaware communities came together in January to celebrate Bishop Backers Community Day.
The free event featured a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader, a Delaware Expo, and a food drive that collected nearly 200 pounds of canned goods to benefit LSS Food Pantries.
The annual Bishop Backers event also featured a visit from several Columbus Zoo and Aquarium friends and a children’s play area courtesy of the Delaware Community Center YMCA.
In addition to backing the Bishops, the community also was “Rockin’ the Free World” on Jan. 27, when politics and government professor Sean Kay launched his new book at the Richard M. Ross Art Museum.
