Majors: Health and Human Kinetics
Minors: Biology and Psychology
Hometown: Dublin, Ohio
Experience: Cardinal Health STRIVE program participant

On April 17, Johnson visited Cardinal Health’s Dublin, Ohio, headquarters, where she participated in the STRIVE program. The by-invitation program, organized by the African American Network, enabled Johnson to experience the culture of the Fortune 22 company.

Lessons Learned:

“I had the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops, learning more about employment opportunities and networking with the African American Panel of Cardinal Health leaders who were chosen for their dedication to the business, leadership development, and commitment. …

“This opportunity helped me to learn more about the business of the healthcare system, to start networking with future employers, and to get my foot in the door in the medical field!

“It matters especially for me because my goal is to become a physician’s assistant focusing on pediatrics. … This was also special because it led me to network and communicate with vice presidents and directors at Cardinal Health. (I learned) how they got to their positions and what tips they have to be successful.”
