Ohio Wesleyan University is inviting voters to turn out Oct. 29 to hear two experts discuss the national and state elections days before Americans head to the polls.

Pulitzer Prize-winning and nationally syndicated columnist Connie Schultz will speak at 4 p.m. Oct. 29, discussing the political landscape in Ohio during an off-year election, including how the current political climate affects the political aspirations of Gov. John Kasich, the right to vote in Ohio, and the power of journalism to induce change. Schultz will speak in Room 312 of the R.W. Corns Building, 78 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. John Sides, Ph.D.

Political scientist and Washington Post contributor John Sides will speak at 7 p.m. Oct. 29, discussing “Will the 2014 Midterm Election Give Republicans Control of Congress?” Sides, an associate professor of political science at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., will speak in Benes Room B of Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware.
