Juanita L. Stormes ’76

Juanita L. Stormes ’76

Nita Stormes is honored with a 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award by the Michigan-based University Liggett School. Nita was appointed a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of California in January 2000. For 16 years prior, she was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California and served as Chief of its Civil Division from 1995 to 1999.

Joshua F. Brown ’04

A 10-season veteran of Cleveland’s Inlet Dance Theatre, Josh Brown is the recipient of a 2014 Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) Fellowship. CPAC is dedicated to strengthening, unifying, and connecting greater Cleveland’s arts and culture sector. Brown majored in theatre education and minored in dance at Ohio Wesleyan.

Neha Sareen, an economics major at OWU, is working to launch the interest-based social network Perchh in India. Prior to working with Mumbai-based Perchh, Sareen spent a decade working with leading TV networks including Neo Sports and Sony Pix.

Clare Whitaker joins the Cincinnati office of Cristofoli-Keeling as marketing and public relations associate. She is the author and creator of the lifestyle blog “Twirling Clare,” and has written for Matchbook Magazine, an online fashion and lifestyle outlet.

Erin Eilbeck Sykes ’05

Erin Sykes, administrator for Appalachia Ohio Zero Waste Initiative, is helping to launch the active portion of the initiative after two years of planning. The action plan includes eight areas of focus ranging from education and outreach to business development.

Sam Adams is named senior vice president of sales for Burlington, Mass.-based Arcadia Healthcare Solutions, a provider of data-driven quality improvement solutions for health systems and health plans. In his new role, Adams will be responsible for all business development activities nationally for Arcadia Healthcare Solutions.
