Ohio Wesleyan to Celebrate Holiday with ‘Lessons And Carols’

Free Dec. 5 Event to Include Choral Music, Scripture, Sing-Along Songs

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Central Ohio community is invited to celebrate Advent and Christmas with a free Dec. 5 “Lessons and Carols” event at Ohio Wesleyan University.

The program will feature choral music and scripture presented by the Ohio Wesleyan Choral Art Society, directed by faculty member Jason Hiester, with the choirs of Linworth United Methodist Church, Buckeye Valley High School, and Thomas Worthington High School.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 in Gray Chapel inside University Hall, 61 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. It will include opportunities for the audience to sing traditional carols with choirs, brass, and organ. Heister said songs will include “Hark the Herald Angles Sing,” “Once in David’s Royal City,” “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming.”
