OWU Students to Run University Snapchat Account

Ohio Wesleyan University senior Julia Stone says her favorite things about OWU are"how passionate our professors are about their classes” and “how easy it is to get involved on campus.” And she’s involved in A LOT.

Stone, who is studying English literature, creative writing, and French, previously spent a semester abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France. Currently, she is chair of the English Department’s student board, a writing center tutor, a French tutor, a member of the OWtsiders a cappella group, a resident of the Citizens of the World House, and an editor for the OWL Literary Magazine. Whew!

And, for the next week, Stone will share her OWU experience as she takes over Ohio Wesleyan’s Snapchat account.

Stone says she hopes to post videos of OWTsiders rehearsals, glimpses of Small Living Unit (SLU) life, meals with friends, and more. Maybe she’ll even share some photos of the Slocum Reading Room, her favorite place on campus.

During the semester, Stone and several other OWU students also will share their unique “My Story” on Snapchat – with experiences including everything from 6 a.m. lacrosse practices to 1 a.m. marathon study sessions.

To view the posts, you’ll need to download the free Snapchat app for your smartphone and add ohiowesleyan. For more OWU social media, check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
