Parents of all students admitted to Ohio Wesleyan University are members of the Parents Association, which promotes increased parent support of the university through philanthropic giving, volunteering, attending on- and off-campus events, and staying connected to the university. No dues are charged for membership.
The executive body of the Parents Association is the Parents Leadership Council. Directed by University Advancement in collaboration with the Offices of Career Services and Admission, the council provides parents with a forum for discussion between the parent community and university leadership and faculty.
Through the Parents Association, all parents receive :
- invitations to regional events
- the monthly electronic Parent Newsletter
- the weekly electronic Connect2 OWU
First-year parents have the opportunity to meet staff members from the University Advancement Office during orientation. All Ohio Wesleyan parents and families are encouraged to be involved in their students’ educational experiences as they work toward their degrees, strive for success, and prepare to make their mark on the world around them. Ohio Wesleyan University values its parents and acknowledges parent support in numerous ways.
