'My Creative Journey'
Ohio Wesleyan Graduate Shares Path to Computer Animation, Video Games, AI at Feb. 27 Event

DELAWARE, Ohio – Glenn Entis, senior director at Google DeepMind, will present "From Art & Philosophy to Computer Animation, Video Games, AI: My Creative Journey" when the 1976 Ohio Wesleyan University graduate speaks at his alma mater.
Entis will present OWU's 2025 Latham Bishop Ventures Lecture at 10 a.m. Feb. 27 in the Milligan Room inside Slocum Hall, 75 S. Sandusky St, Delaware. The event is free and open to the public.
At Ohio Wesleyan, Entis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After being hired by Hewlett-Packard as a software engineer a few years later, he moved to Silicon Valley and hasn't left the West Coast since. A pioneer in both the video game and animation industries, Entis now applies his creative skills and experience to the world of artificial intelligence (AI).
He is the co-founder of Pacific Data Images (PDI), which later became DreamWorks Animation. Entis won a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts for PDI's software. As the former CEO of DreamWorks Interactive, he oversaw numerous successful titles, collaborating with the likes of Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg on projects such as the "Medal of Honor" series.
When Electronic Arts acquired DreamWorks Interactive, Entis became the senior vice president, chief visual officer, and chief technical officer for EA Worldwide Studios. He left the company in 2008 to co-found Vanedge Capital, a venture capital fund based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He joined Google DeepMind in 2022 and currently is working as a senior director there, where he leads a team exploring creative uses of AI.
Ohio Wesleyan's Latham Bishop Ventures Program (LBV) is presented by The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship, which works to develop and deepen students' entrepreneurial mindsets, providing opportunities for students to learn, discuss, and grow. The LBV program was created by Carol Latham, a 1961 OWU graduate who pioneered a method of cooling electronics that supported the development of microchips, personal computers, and more.
