Academic Resources

• Hobson Library – Hobson Library was originally developed for students and faculty in the earth, life, and physical sciences. Taking up the second floor of the northern building of the Schimmel/Conrades Science Center, it provides information resources in the form of journals, books, reference materials, reserves, and databases.
• Slocum Reading Room – The Reading Room was a part of a 2021-22 multi-million dollar renovation of Slocum Hall, which restored the former university library space to its originally late 19th-century beauty.

Advisors help students explore their academic interests, select courses, understand academic policies and procedures, and connect with resources and opportunities to reach their goals. The Office of Holistic Advising provides additional advising support and consultation for all students and faculty.

The Office of the Registrar helps students address registration needs, receive transfer credit, plan for leaves of absence and returns, and track their degree progress. 

The Sagan Academic Resource Center (ARC) empowers students with the skills they need to be independent and lifelong learners. Free resources available to every student include the Academic Skills Center, Accessibility Services Office, Departmental Tutoring, Quantitative Skills Center, and Writing Center. Bishop Access is a fee-based coaching program that provides a supplemental level of support to navigate university life.

The Help Desk provides support to students, faculty and staff for all kinds of technology needs, on campus and off, It is located on the lower level of the R.W. Corns Building.

Media Services operates from the Information Services area of the R. W. Corns Building, providing the campus with the tools and technology for audiovisual presentation and production.
