50th Reunion Celebration - Class of 1972

Thanks to all of you who attended our 50th Reunion – and to those who could not, we missed you!  The weather was sunny and warm, and the campus was impressive with remodeled and new buildings.  Food and drinks were excellent.  Hats off to the Advancement Office for stellar arrangements and organization!

For everyone, the best parts would have been getting back in touch with old friends.  But how should one choose among other great moments?  On Friday: the remembrance of eighty classmates who have passed away, the Alumni College where we heard about classmates’ careers at HUD and World Bank and about the strong tradition of women’s sports at OWU, the receptions honoring major donors, and our Class Party in OWU’s Ross Art Museum.  And on Saturday: the all-class picnic, the Parade of Classes where we sported custom 50th Reunion tie-dye sunglasses, the distinguished service awards ceremony, and our Class Dinner. 

As we renewed our connections with old friends and heard what OWU students are accomplishing today, we were reminded what a great gift it was to attend OWU and to receive a top-notch liberal arts education.  OWU clearly deserves our continued support, in time and money.  With the special matching opportunity made possible by our Alumni Committee, please consider adding to our Class Gift!
