Membership in the fraternity and sorority community provides a unique opportunity for leadership development, social interactions, academic support, and community service/philanthropy and opportunities to enable students to make the most of their college years at OWU, These organizations also equip their members with skills and experiences for the future. One of the skills developed through membership in these dues paying organizations is financial independence and responsibility.

Members of fraternities and sororities are responsible for paying membership dues to their respective organization which is uniquely set, collected, and managed through their chapter. Although dues are a part of membership in the community, we understand that affording the experience may come with challenges.

Some fraternities and sororities on campus offer payment plans and/or scholarships through their chapter or alumni, however, there are additional avenues for funding found through the National Panhellenic Conference and the North American Interfraternity Conference:

  • The National Panhellenic Conference Foundation offers scholarships to outstanding Panhellenic women in good standing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Award range from $1,000-$2,000 and have varying academic, service, and/or residential requirements. The scholarship application period runs from early January to mid-March each year.
