Welcome to the WCSA Election page! Here you will find out more information about the different offices/positions within WCSA, how to run for office, and the election process. People elected to hold a WCSA position in the upcoming election will serve in that role during the 2024/2025 Academic Year. (Aug. - May). More information on the positions can be found at the bottom of this page, as well as on each position's intent-to-run form found below.

Monday, April 8: Meet the Candidate videos will be made available to the student body to review online.
Friday, April 12: Student Body WCSA General Election Day (8:00am - 9:00pm). Election results will be available that evening.
The President shall be the chief executive of the student body and leader of the Executive Cabinet.
*The President, together with the Vice President, shall be chosen by the student body.
**The President shall administer and enforce all statutes of the student body.
***The President shall, with the advice and consent of the Full Senate, appoint Cabinet members and make appointments established by statute; but the Full Senate may vest by statute the appointment of such officers and members in the President alone as they think proper.
****The President shall convene the Full Senate to meet at a set time and place on twenty-four hours notice, provided that the purpose for such action shall be urgent.
******The President shall, with the advice and consent of the Vice President, prepare the legislative and executive program for their administration for the consideration of the Full Senate.
*******The President shall, from time to time, present a report on the state of the student body to the student body through the Full Senate.
********The President, together with the Vice President, will serve as representatives of the student body on the Archway committee of the University Administration.
The Vice President shall be the deputy to the President in all matters relating to that office.
*The Vice President shall execute all duties discharged to the office by statute.
**The Vice President, together with the president, shall serve on the Archway Committee of the University Administration.
*The Chief Administrative Officer shall be the chief administrator of the student body.
**The Chief Administrative Officer shall ensure the appropriate maintenance of all records and property of the student body, and ensure the proper administration of elections.
****The Chief Administrative Officer shall chair the WCSA Public Relations subcommittee.
****The Chief Administrative Officer shall be chosen by the student body.
*The Comptroller shall be the chief financial officer of the student body.
**The Comptroller shall, subject to statute, provide for the appropriation, disbursement, and maintenance of the student activity fee and any other income streams the Wesleyan Council on Student Affairs has control over.
***The Comptroller shall chair the WCSA Budget subcommittee.
****The Comptroller shall be elected by the student body.
*There will be at least sixteen (16), but no more than twenty (20) Senators in the WCSA Senate
***Each member of the WCSA Senate attends a weekly WCSA full senate meeting held Monday's from 12:10pm - 1:00pm. WCSA Senate members are full voting members on proposed budget requests utilizing the student activity fee, WCSA legislation and bills, etc.
****Each member of the WCSA Senate is assigned to one WCSA subcommittee (committees include; Budget, Public Relations, Student Affairs, Student Inclusion Advocacy), and will attend the weekly meeting of their assigned subcommittee
