Q: Which employees can use the Health Center?
A: All full-time, part-time and contracted employees can schedule appointments at the Health Center.

Q: What insurance is accepted at the Health Center?
A: Employees covered by OWU's health benefits will have coverage through Meritain Health (Aetna), which is accepted at the Health Center. Employees with other coverage should refer to OSU Medical Center's "Insurances We Accept" page.

Q: Can dependents of OWU employees use the Health Center?
A: Yes, dependents can also schedule appointments at the Health Center, including spouses and domestic partners. Minors will need a parent/guardian to attend.

Q: Who are the healthcare providers at the Health Center?
A:  The clinical staff at the Health Center includes a physician, a certified nurse practitioner, an RN, and an LPN, who are members of Ohio State's Medical Center team. Details about this team can be found on the Health Center website. 

Q: What care is provided at the Health Center for OWU employees:

Injury and Illness:

• Cold, flu, and COVID-19 symptoms, including cough, sore throat, fever, and headache
  Eye, ear, throat, sinus, and respiratory infections
• Seasonal allergies
• Minor burns, bruises, and cuts
• Insect bites and rashes
• Painful urination and suspected urinary tract infections

Prevention and Wellness:

• Immunizations and flu vaccines
  Work, school, sports, and camp physicals
  STD/HIV testing

Q: What are the hours of operation at the Health Center? 
A: The Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the academic year.
