Katherine Dortmund '28

Hometown: Westerville, Ohio
Katherine Dortmund '28 dropped four individual records and one relay record across indoor and outdoor track & field this season. During the indoor season, she put her name atop the record boards for the 60-meter dash at 7.72 and the 60-meter hurdles at 8.55. Her performance in the 60-meter hurdles earned her a spot in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship final, where she placed third in the nation, earning All-American First Team status.
Katherine continued to dominate on the outdoor track, setting new marks for the 100-meter dash at 12.00 and the 100-meter hurdles at 13.84, as well as teaming up with Kennedy Elfers '28, Alaina Nathan '29, and Aelyn Baumbarger '28 for a new record in the 4x100-meter relay at 46.99.
Macy Miller '27
Majors: Biology/Exercise Science
Hometown: Marysville, Ohio
Macy Miller '27 led the women's basketball team to an outstanding season in 2025-26, finishing with a 21-6 overall record—11-3 in the NCAC—and earning the Battling Bishops' fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. On January 14 against Kenyon, she became the 20th player in OWU women's basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points. Two weeks earlier against Oberlin, Macy pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds—the most in a single game since 2000. After the season, she was selected as a consensus All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and D3hoops.com, as well as the D3hoops.com Regional Player of the Year and the NCAC Player of the Year. Macy also received academic recognition as a College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American and a Jostens Trophy Finalist.
Connor Smith '27

Hometown: Marysville, Ohio
Connor Smith '27 hopped his way into the history books during the indoor track & field season, becoming the first Ohio Wesleyan men's track & field national champion since 2002 with a mark of 2.12 meters (6' 11.5") at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the high jump. He is the 19th individual national champion in school history—the first since 2019—and the 12th for the men's track & field program.
Connor also had his fair share of records on the track, setting two this season as a member of the Red and Black's sprint relay teams. During the indoor season, he teamed up with Nate Snead '28, Ryan Tripp '26, and Joe Larkins '26 to run a 1:26.46 in the 4x200-meter relay. On the outdoor track, he was back at it with Joel Adade '27, Ryan, and Nate to set a new mark in the 4x100-meter relay at 41.36.
Noah Citek '26
Majors: Pre-Med/Neuroscience
Hometown: Long Beach, California
Noah Citek '26 was dominant on the faceoff for the Red and Black lacrosse this season and throughout his career. Most recently, he set the single-game record for faceoff wins with 27 as well as the single-game record for ground balls with 22, breaking both records at John Carroll on April 18. This season, Noah also broke the career records for faceoff wins and ground balls, doing so early in the season and continuing to create separation on the all-time OWU leaderboards, finishing his career at 800 career faceoff wins and 536 career ground balls faceoff wins. He also ended up setting new single-season records with 266 wins and 192 ground balls this year.
Josh Hurst '26
Major: Finance
Hometown: Port Clinton, Ohio
Josh Hurst '26 wrote his name into the 135-year history of the Ohio Wesleyan football program this season, setting the program record for career receptions. On November 15, in his final game at Selby Stadium, Josh caught seven passes to push his career total to 200—two more than the previous record set in 2014. He was a third-team all-conference selection and was elected to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society Class of 2026.
Long-time Ohio Wesleyan Sports Information Director Mark Beckenbach '81 retired in 2025, turning over the reins of athletic communications to Brendan Eagan.
