Join the International Studies Department in welcoming Ryan Hass of the Brookings Institution to present the J.K. Eddy Memorial Lecture on World Politics. His lecture titled "Are the US and China Destined for War?" will be given on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in Benes Room AB at the HWCC. Hass is the Director of the John L. Thornton China Center and the Chen-Fu and Cecilia Yen Koo Chair in Taiwan Studies. One of his areas of expertises includes U.S. and China relations and his research focuses on enhancing policy development for the U.S. in East Asia. He is a co-author of "U.S.-Taiwan Relations: Will China's Challenge Lead to a Crisis?" (Brookings Press, 2023) and the author of "Stronger: Adapting America's China Strategy in an Age of Competitive Interdependence" (Yale University Press, 2021).
