About

Kayce Tomcho joined Ohio Wesleyan University in 2021 after completing her Ph.D. at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, under the direction of Professor Michael Cascio. Her work focused on refining the structure and the dynamics of the human alpha-1 glycine receptor using systematic single, site-specific cysteine mutations and crosslinking mass spectrometry.

As a graduate student, she received a Certificate in Teaching Excellence and was awarded the Graduate Student Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019.

At OWU, Tomcho currently teaches Biochemistry I/II, Biochemistry Lab, and Molecular Genetics.
