Shared Governance at Ohio Wesleyan

The decisions that shape Ohio Wesleyan belong to all of us. Shared governance means each of us has a defined role, those roles are respected, and we consult one another in good faith before deciding. The Faculty Handbook describes the faculty's role in this work and asks us to engage with one another meaningfully and sincerely. We keep this arrangement because it produces better decisions, and because policies we have shaped together carry a legitimacy that comes only from having built them together.
