The Chemical Safety program is designed to minimize the health risk to employees, students, and the public from potential exposure to hazardous materials that are used in research laboratories.

The Environmental Health and Safety office advises campus chemical users on best practices and helps the university community comply with federal, state, and local chemical and environmental safety laws.
