All students are required to have health insurance. Student Health Services will bill your insurance directly for most care. When you come to the Student Health Center, don't forget your medical insurance card, student or legal ID, and a credit card or check for costs such as co-pays, medications, etc.
The following link will take you to our website to view the plans with whom OhioHealth hospitals and professionals contract:
(click the “View Insurance Accepted by OhioHealth Urgent Care” button in the Accepted Insurance Payors and Plans section of the above page)
We encourage you to access this site to determine if the OhioHealth facilities and providers will be in-network with your insurance.
If OhioHealth is not part of your insurance plan, you can still be seen in the Student Health Center and out of network rates will apply. For billing questions please contact our billing company, CMM, at 888-434-6001.
Please note that OhioHealth is on a limited number of exchange plans that are found on the healthcare.gov website. If you have purchased coverage through one of the government exchange plans, we encourage you to verify if the plan is one that OhioHealth accepts for non-emergent care.
A Student Health Insurance plan is available to OWU students. You will receive correspondence about this from the Student Educational Benefit Trust (SEBT) insurance company during the summer. Coverage is from August 1 to July 31 of the following year. You must visit SEBT’s website to view and accept (or decline) the insurance options and to give proof of your current insurance status.
