Director of Student Integrity and Community Standards
The mission of the Office of Student Integrity and Community Standards is to foster a sense of community and personal accountability, facilitate the resolution of student conflicts and/or conduct matters, provide support to students involved in campus conduct concerns, ensure fair and equitable responses from University processes, and to serve as a leader in educating and training members of the OWU community about expectations and standards for behavior.
This goal is achieved through an educational process designed to foster the holistic development of students and by supporting the rights and responsibilities of all students engaged in University response processes. The Office is committed to following established procedures and use of outcomes to support the mission of the University while maintaining ongoing care and concern for all students. The Office is responsible for maintaining student behavioral records, processing reports received by the University if a student is involved, and ensuring integrity in University responses to student conduct. The Office also provides prevention education and oversees The Bishop Way bystander education program.
Students are encouraged to contact the Office any time they have questions and/or concerns about policies or procedures; or if they have experienced something that has impacted their connection to OWU. We want our community to be inclusive and welcoming for everyone. The Office can provide support for conflict resolution, provide access to support resources, and discuss options to restore a person's sense of safety and comfort on-campus. Students are also encouraged to submit a report online. Online reports can be found at the bottom of this page.
The OWU Student Handbook outlines Ohio Wesleyan University policies and community standard expectations for students. Students involved in conduct matters are encouraged to review the Handbook prior to their scheduled resolution meeting or if they have questions about community standards.
