About

Barbara Wiehe is the Environmental Health and Safety Officer and Edwin Moore Greenhouse manager for the Botany department at Ohio Wesleyan University. Before joining OWU in 2000, she held an internship in hydroponics at EPCOT Center in Walt Disney World and worked at Franklin Park Conservatory. She has participated in various campus task forces, committees and grant projects including waste reduction and sustainability and campus beautification. She has won awards for Community Stewardship and the Ohio EPA Office of Environmental Education Outstanding Projects.

Other

Barbara enjoys working with student groups on campus. She advises the Horticulture club and participates in the Women in Science club. She also serves on the Sustainability Task Force and the Institutional Animal Care Committee (IACUC), as well as conducting botany outreach to local schools.
