About

Benjamin Dogulas joined the faculty at Ohio Wesleyan University in the fall of 2025. Prior to coming to OWU, he earned his Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he was also a research fellow at the Institute for Diversity Science. Dr.Douglas researches social norms: How they form, dissipate, and affect human behavior. He primarily uses field experiments to observe how manipulations of social norms affect real-world behavior via changes in the perception of one's environment. Dr. Douglas's experiments often are conducted in the context of pro-environmental actions and environmental racism. In a secondary line of research, he also studies data collection procedures for human-subjects research with an emphasis on how to collect high-quality data from in-person and online samples.
