Shaina Munin, Ph.D., is a social psychologist interested in the role of emotion in social interactions. Her research examines the impacts of emotions on relationship quality and well-being, with a particular focus on how individuals use language to express emotion and manage the emotions of others. In the classroom, she encourages students to connect psychology to their own lives and supports students' skill development for professional success. She holds a doctorate in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Psychology from Johns Hopkins University.
