She plans to graduate in 2022 and is an English Literature major with minors in both History and Sociology/Anthropology. She will use the Baran fellowship money to study abroad at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland in Spring 2021 to enhance her overall knowledge of the intersections between Irish literature and politics. She will be utilizing the knowledge gleaned from her experiences in Northern Ireland in the form of her Global Scholars Capstone project, then presenting at various events at Ohio Wesleyan. She plans to apply for a Mitchell or Fulbright Fellowship to continue her literary studies in Ireland, Northern Ireland, or the United Kingdom; the Baran Fellowship will help her to be an exceptionally qualified candidate for these fellowships and enrich her overall understanding of the intersections between Irish literature and politics.
