About

Hayden Bishop joined Ohio Wesleyan University in 2026. He was previously an assistant professor at Clarke University (Iowa). Hayden received his Ph.D. at Purdue University under the direction of Christopher Uyeda. His work focused on the catalytic synthesis of chiral zinc metallacycles and studying their reactivity with a variety of different electrophiles.

Hayden currently teaches Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and General Chemistry. He is interested in synthesizing and characterizing transition metal complexes and exploring their reactivity as catalysts in cross-coupling reactions.
