Information Services offers various opportunities for technical training on the systems we use. See below for current offerings, including schedule and registration information.
Our Instructional Technologist, David Soliday, is still offering customized individual and group training sessions upon request. They'll just happen via online web-conference during OWU's response to COVID-19.
As part of our volume licensing agreement with Microsoft, they’ll be offering a free level 2 training on Microsoft Excel for OWU faculty and staff at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 4. The session will be presented by Bailey Cuccaro, a Microsoft Trainer in their Columbus office.
The live webinar will focus on intermediate features within Microsoft Excel, providing an overview of functions, formatting, restrictions, pivot tables, and accessibility features.
Functions covered include VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, TODAY, IF, IFS, IFERROR, AND, OR, COUNT, and more.
Formatting covered includes cell formatting, conditional formatting, and format as table.
Restrictions include protecting a workbook, protecting a worksheet, and locking cells.

We are providing an open training session on BigTree CMS on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The training will be held on Zoom.
Learn how to manage your department’s or program’s web presence on our OWU website. Learn or review the basics, like callout blocks and embedded media. These enhance the visual appeal and presentation of essential information in desktop browsers and mobile devices.
