Ultra Feedback Discussion with Blackboard
Friday 9/13, 1:00 to 2:30 PM, in Merrick 201

Chris Edwards, our Client Success Executive, and staff from the Ultra Product Development team, will be on hand to answer questions, and provide status updates for the Ultra course view in Blackboard Learn. Bring your questions, concerns, and complaints. Blackboard has taken a lot of feedback from us and many other clients, and they have many enhancements to the Ultra product on their roadmap. Come and learn more.

All of the sessions below will be offered in Corns 109, and led by our Instructional Technologist, David Soliday. Noon workshops include lunch for all who register by the evening before the event. We also provide customized group instruction and individual training upon request.

Learn the ins and outs of Blackboard's new course--and organization--interface. Find out where the Control Panel went, what's changed, and why. Instructors now have the option to choose the original course view or the new Ultra view. See how it all integrates into the Ultra base navigation.

BigTree Introduction and More

(Originally scheduled for Wed., 9/4.) Learn to use the content management system that powers our Oh-Wooo website. Keep your department or program pages fresh and up-to-date. Arrange pages in easily navigable order, and even automatically hide them at a pre-defined date of your choosing. For beginners and those who don't use it often.

Managing Time in Google Calendar

Come and learn how to take advantage of the communication and collaboration features that are integrated with BishopMail, including how to share your calendar, invite others, see when they're available, and update meetings with notes. For anyone/everyone at OWU who works with others here.

Working with Data in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Spreadsheets, rows, and columns--Oh my! They're nothing to be afraid of! Learn how to easily work in one or the other, and to transfer data between them. Pick up helpful tips, like keyboard shortcuts and settings. For anyone who's new to spreadsheets and/or anyone who'd like to learn more about them.

Communicating with BishopMail and BishopApps

Do you get too many emails? Do you have them automatically categorized? Do you have filters that automatically handle them? Gmail is a powerful email client, and can even finish your sentences for you. Learn many options to improve your communication. For all OWU BishopApps account holders.

Combined: Starfish and Degree Audit

An introductory or refresher training on our student success and degree audit systems. Starfish can be used by students to schedule appointments with you, and they can use Degree Audit to check their progress toward their major and to plan future courses.
