Yunhua Ding

Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy

Education

  • B.S., Harbin Engineering University
  • M.S., Indiana University
  • Ph.D., Indiana University

About

Yunhua Ding joined the OWU Department of Physics and Astronomy in Fall 2022. He obtained his Ph.D. in physics from Indiana University Bloomington in 2018. After that, he worked as a visiting assistant professor at several liberal arts colleges. Yunhua Ding feels privileged to teach physics at a liberal art college like OWU, and he looks forward to working closely with students in both his teaching and research.

Areas of Interest / Expertise

  • Theoretical studies of spacetime symmetries, with primary interest in testing Lorentz and CPT symmetry in precision experiments, including theory of Lorentz- and CPT-violating quantum electrodynamics, particle and antiparticle comparisons in Penning traps, corrections to particle's spin precession in Electric Dipole Moment experiments, and Lorentz and CPT tests in atomic, molecular, and optical systems.
