OWU Fellowship Received: Baran Fellowship

With the money I earned through this fellowship, I plan on studying abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan for the 2019-2020 academic year. I hope to use this time to improve my Japanese language skills outside of the classroom and view literature through a different cultural perspective. My hope is that the skills I learn and experience I gain will assist in future applications for post-graduate fellowships, which I currently plan on pursuing for either Japanese Studies or Comparative Literature. I am extremely grateful to have been generously gifted this opportunity.
