Below is a list of community providers who are currently providing telehealth/teletherapy. Please call or email these people/agencies to reach out and attempt to schedule an appointment.
When contacting a provider, there are several questions you should consider asking:
- Do you provide Teletherapy?
- Do you have a waitlist at this time?
- Could you describe your helping approach?
- What days and times are you currently available?
- Will you accept my insurance coverage? (know this ahead of time)
- Will you directly bill my insurance company?
- What are your fees? (Some providers do not accept insurance and are all self-pay.)
- Do you have any student discount fees?
- Do you have a sliding fee scale?
- Do I have to pay "up front" for services?
- Do you have a payment plan?
- What are your limitations on length of treatment?
- Where is your office located? Are you on a bus-line (which bus)? (Only for in person requests)
If you are attempting to make contact with a community provider, or are referred to a community provider from Counseling Services staff, and have any issues getting connected (difficulty finding availability, changes in insurance, cost of therapy is too high, etc.) please call Counseling Services staff at 740-368-3145 so that we may assist you in getting set up with counseling. We want to be able to ensure your needs are met at this time.

- "Our therapists accept most major insurance plans. Our friendly and talented office manager Paula Bearns Keller will help you with appointment scheduling and insurance issues. Clients may also opt to pay for services out-of-pocket. The office accepts all major credit cards and, if necessary, will work with you to design a reasonable payment plan sensitive to your budget."

- "Enliven Resource accepts most major insurances, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and self pay. We also accept out-of-network insurance. The difference from in-network is you will be responsible for submitting claims and paying us upfront. Your insurance will reimburse you accordingly to a certain percentage."

- "I am also able bill as an out-of-network provider. What this means is that insurance companies will often reimburse 60-100% of the session fees, depending on your plan and whether you have met your deductible/cap for the year. I will provide you a receipt after every session, which you will be able to use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company."

- "Compass Counseling Group provides quality treatment at an affordable cost to ensure that self-pay clients can access the care that they need. We are also happy to work with clients who wish to utilize their Out of Network insurance benefits and will provide a receipt for services at the time of your visit which you can present to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most insurance plans will reimburse clients for a portion of our service fees. This rate is typically 60 - 100% of session fees depending on the insurance plan and deductible criteria. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to your first visit to discuss the reimbursement process for out of network costs."
