About

Jülide Yazar completed her Ph.D. in economics at The Ohio State University, where she won the Outstanding Graduate Associate Teaching Award. Before her graduate studies in economics, she worked as a corporate finance specialist at Credit Lyonnais. In 2016, she was awarded the Bishop Herbert Welch Meritorious Teaching Award for distinguished service in teaching and her significant contributions to the academic climate at Ohio Wesleyan University. In 2023, she was awarded the James B. Heisler Endowed Chair in Economics. Her areas of specialization include game theory and mathematical economics. Her teaching areas are game theory, industrial organization, microeconomic theory, and behavioral economics. Her current research interests are mathematical economics, game theory, machine learning and agent-based models in economics, and neuroeconomics. In 2022, her work on Bayesian Learning in Cournot Markets received the best application paper award at the 4th International Conference on Decision Economics.
