Connecting Faith and the Outdoors

The Outdoor Ministry Team, or OMT, is a group of students seeking together to become better outdoor leaders and to learn about the Christian faith.

OMT meets on Wednesdays at 7pm in Crider Lounge (second floor HWCC) and sometimes outside on campus. We invite you to come with an open mind, ready to hear other perspectives and share your own.

OMT participates in several outdoor trips each school year, the largest of which are the Spring Break Wilderness Treks. Other outings take place during mid-semester in October and winter break. Activities include backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, and more.

While you’re engaged in all of these activities, you’ll also be honing your leadership skills and exploring your faith in a safe community of fellow students.
