About the Major

To develop breadth and depth of knowledge, you'll take a core curriculum designed especially for OWU Politics & Government majors. Working closely with your faculty advisor, you'll select courses in each core area to meet your unique interests and career goals:

  • International Relations
  • Comparative Politics
  • Political Theory

The department also offers a five-course Politics & Government minor.

POPULAR SECOND MAJORS

Students who think they may want to go to law school often double-major in Politics and Government and Pre-Law. Other students may pursue a second major to expand their opportunities or follow a particular interest. Kennedy Sattler '20

At OWU, Kennedy interned with Airlines for America in D.C. She then moved on to law school, graduated with her J.D. from George Mason University, and became an appellate attorney for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
