What nutrient helps your body use calcium?

Answer

Vitamin D, which you can get from the sun, tuna, and certain cereals and juices that have vitamin D in them. Calcium is important in building bones, helping blood clot, maintaining heart rhythm, and much more.

Do you know how many hydration stations are on campus?

Answer

There are hydration stations on campus. Not having enough water can lead to health issues so be sure to drink up!

Tip

Did you know that sitting all day long affects your posture and can give you back pain? When you sit for too long, your hip muscles tighten and can cause knee, shin, and back pain as well as bad posture. However, simply standing occasionally while you work, keeping your hips from tightening can greatly help.

Want to improve your health and feel better? It’s not magic, but adding a little more leafy-greens to your diet can help. Be sure to include broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage. And aim for 1-2 cups of leafy greens a week. That’s foods like spinach, kale, arugula, and collards.
