Digvijay Tekade

Greetings! I’m Digvijay, from Pune, India. I’m looking forward to my years in college, and wish to major in Economics, with a minor in Business, a passion stemming from my years in the International Baccalaureate program, leading to me writing an extended essay about the concept of repo rates and their nascent effect on consumer expenditure in India. Since middle school, I’ve had an interest in all things related to international policy, which led to me holding a keen interest in Model UN conferences, which manifested itself in the form of various awards and accolades through the years, along with a leadership position at my school’s MUN club, a stint that was regrettably cut short by the emergence of the pandemic. Outside the realm of academia, I am interested in the sport of badminton, and wish to continue playing it during my years at OWU. I am also interested in service, particularly teaching, being a volunteer at the SOS Children’s Village (a chain of orphanages with a foster-parent style of accommodation) in Pune before the pandemic, teaching children the intricacies of the English language, ones that fell outside the purview of public education in primary schools. Once again, I wish to express the sheer joy that I experience by being a part of this prestigious EMF program and look forward to my years as a Bishop.
