Jackson Canada

My name is Jackson Canada, and I am from Vail, Colorado. I graduated from Valor Christian High School in Denver, Colorado, having also attended Kent Denver, as a four-year varsity player in lacrosse and will continue to play lacrosse for Ohio Wesleyan. I plan to major in International Business and use the Spanish I have taken for nearly a decade in commercial business transactions. Over the years I had various “side hustles” to earn money (the early jump on newly released Supreme gear for resale, sale of unique lacrosse swag, even breeding crawdads for sale). This meager disposable income provided investment funds when a friend’s father helped us establish our high school’s first Investment Club. I now look forward to exploring international commercial real estate markets. I’m grateful to be in EMF and energized about the opportunities over the next four years!

In 2014, my mom and I founded a non-profit organization, 1Team1Goal. 1Team1Goal pairs typical peer role models with people with special needs to play football, cheer, dance, and the arts. Because of all of my experience with 1Team1Goal and exposure at my high school to a class based around creating our own businesses, I wanted to find a way to still heavily impact and influence the community for good, so that is why I thought it would be great to be a part of the EMF Program.
