What do Parents need to do after the roster is announced?

• Complete the parent confirmation form and payment form by October 12, 2026 to verify media release, identify medical issues, indicate any dietary restrictions, and confirm your child's eligibility.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Encourage students to practice!

What do Students need to do after the roster is announced?

• Receive music link from their choir director. 
• Practice and get ready for a great performance!

When and Where do I check in?

Check-In on Monday, November 9, 2026 from 8-8:30 a.m. High School Students are to check-in in the Sanborn Hall lobby, parking options are Sanborn Hall (west of building), or street parking. Middle School Students are to check-in in the Hamilton Williams Campus Center, parking options are Hamilton-Williams Campus Center Parking Lot, or street parking. The Note-Learning Session is on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 1-2:30 p.m. and the High School Vocal Masterclass is following that from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Sanborn Hall.

When and Where do I pick up my student?

The OWU Honor Choir Festival is on Monday, November 9, 2026. The Concert begins at 6:30 p.m. in University Hall's Gray Chapel and all students are released to parents and teachers after the entire concert concludes by approximately 7:45 p.m.

What is the concert attire?

Dress in whatever your school wears for concert performances. For some, this may be band uniforms, concert black, or formal attire. If more than one student is attending the festival from your school, please make sure you confer with them about what they're wearing so there is uniformity for each school.

When and Where are the concerts?

Both concerts are open to the public and held on Monday, November 9, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in University Hall's Gray Chapel.

Can I get a note to be excused from school?

Yes. All festival students will receive an official OWU letter describing our event and certifying their participation in the music festival to excuse them from regular classes.
