Director, Delaware County Regional Planning Commission

Scott Sanders has been with the Delaware County Regional Planning Commission since 2001, serving as director since 2006. DCRPC maintains full membership of all townships and villages in the County, as well as membership by the County Commissioners, County Engineer, Code Compliance office, Sanitary Engineer, and Health District. 

During his time there, he has worked with numerous villages and townships within the County to create Comprehensive Plans, Zoning Resolutions and other planning studies. As an agency in the fastest-growing county in Ohio, the Delaware County Regional Planning Commission is the platting and subdivision authority for unincorporated areas of the county. The staff works closely with other agencies to review and approve thousands of residential and commercial lots each year. In addition to those functions, the staff maintains a robust set of spatial datasets through its Geographic Information System (GIS) and online mapping as well as detailed demographic and population projections to assist local communities and the region. 

Mr. Sanders currently serves as the President of the County Planning Directors Association of Ohio and has served on the Delaware County Tourism Bureau since 2012. He is a member of the American Planning Association and maintains membership in the American Institute of Certified Planners. He and his family have lived in Orange Township since 2007.
