Anxious about traveling abroad for the first time? Do not worry! We are here to support you in your inaugural journey to further shores. Whether you meet with one of our IOCP mentors, attend a First-Time travelers session, or review our Pre-Departure Essentials training we hope to provide all of the information you need to prepare you for a successful time away.

First-Time Travelers

Here are some steps you can take to prepare yourself for an international experience.

1. Schedule a meeting with an IOCP mentor by stopping by the IOCP office (Slocum 311) between 9 am and 4 pm or email them at mentors@owu.edu.
2. Review our Pre-Departure Essentials online training (mandatory for all OWU-sponsored international travel).

6. Apply for a passport if you have not already done so. Schedule an appointment with the IOCP office to go over the application process.
