Director, Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship
A Little Bit About Me
Destiny serves as the Director of The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship, where she provides strategic leadership for the Center's programs, initiatives, partnerships, and student opportunities. She works to expand the Center's impact and visibility while creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences in economics, finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, accounting, and international business.
As Director, Destiny leads a diverse portfolio of student programs, including the Woltemade Economics and Business Fellows, Accounting & Finance Fellows, Corns Business & Entrepreneurial Scholars, Westwood Real Estate and Community Development Fellows, and Community Research Fellows. She also oversees signature Center programs and events such as Pitch OWU, the Woltemade Big Problem Challenge, the Milligan Lecture Series, the Heisler Business Ethics Lecture, and the Economic Outlook Conference. Through these initiatives, she works closely with faculty, alumni, business leaders, community partners, and organizations to strengthen the student experience and build connections between Ohio Wesleyan and the broader business community.
Destiny brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her work at the Woltemade Center, drawing on her background as a director, creator, and arts leader. She previously served as Director of Education and Artistic Administration for Opera Columbus, where she led educational programming, community partnerships, and production administration.
Her creative work continues alongside her role at Ohio Wesleyan. She is the creator and director of The Journey: Civil Rights, a multidisciplinary musical production, which received the 2023 Greater Columbus Arts Council Columbus Makes Art Excellence Award. She is also the creator and director of its continuation, The Journey: Breaking Barriers (2026).
Destiny earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
